The City Clerk, appointed by the City Council, manages various administrative duties, including attending all Council meetings and keeping accurate records of the proceedings. As the elections official of the City, the City Clerk oversees City Council and Mayor elections, as well as Board of Education elections. The City Clerk serves as custodian of records for the City and is responsible for records management, maintaining public records and ordinances, administering oaths, and certifying official documents. Additionally, the City Clerk manages official City advertising, handles campaign financial disclosures and public records requests, conducts bid openings, processes claims, and performs other duties as required by the City Council.
