Safety Education

The Modesto Fire Department is committed to achieving a significant reduction in the number of preventable fires, consequent loss of life, injury to persons and damage to property. We promote these objectives through public education programs and campaigns designed to raise the safety awareness of the community.

Fire Prevention Safety Education emphasizes proactive measures to reduce fire risks and promote safety. It covers topics such as:

  • Risk Awareness: Understanding potential fire hazards in homes, workplaces, and public spaces.
  • Preventive Measures: Implementing practices like smoke detector installation, fire extinguisher use, and proper storage of flammable materials.
  • Community Engagement: Educating individuals and communities about fire safety through workshops, campaigns, and outreach programs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to fire safety codes and standards in buildings and public areas.

By fostering awareness and preparedness, the Modesto Fire Department Fire Prevention Division aims to minimize fire incidents and protect lives and property.
