Project Summary

Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at 16th/I, 15th/H, Granger/Florida, Morris/Auburn, Tully/Leonard, Lincoln/Poppypatch, Lincoln/Penny, Tully/Modesto Junior College (MJC), Carpenter/California, and Stoddard/MJC.

Project Description

The Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) is a device using light-emitting diode (LED) flashing beacons in combination with pedestrian warning signs, to provide a high-visibility strobe-like warning to drivers when pedestrians use an uncontrolled crosswalk.  The City will be installing these RRFBs at 10 locations throughout the City.
