El Vista Avenue

This pavement maintenance/rehabilitation project was completed by city staff on El Vista Avenue as part of our summer pavement rehabilitation program. The project included the section of roadway between Scenic Street and Edgebrook Drive.

This project was conducted September 4th through September 20th 2012.

Purpose

Funded by State Proposition 1B funds, the El Vista Avenue project included the removal of the damaged pavement, re-pavement of this section of roadway along with the installation of new pavement markings, new bike lanes and striping.

Bike Lanes

The new bike lanes create a highly visible space for bike travel and will free up space on the sidewalk for pedestrian and wheelchair traffic.

This type of work typically extends the durability of a street surface for as much as 20 years.
