The Charter Review Committee will be reviewing the City of Modesto Charter.

Citizens' Districting Commission

The Citizens’ Districting Commission invites citizen participation in their recommendations for reviewing and approving proposed draft plans for the City of Modesto Council District Map.

Citizen's Salary Setting Commission

The function of the Citizen's Salary Setting Commission is to recommend compensation for the Mayor and members of the City Council, pursuant to Modesto Municipal Code Section 703(b).

Downtown Improvement District Advisory Board

The Downtown Improvement District (DID) Advisory Board formulates recommendations relating to downtown issues including the use of revenues.

Public Events Advisory Committee

The mission of the Public Events Advisory Committee shall be to advise and assist the Modesto Convention and Visitors' Bureau in the development of marketing and act in an advisory capacity to the city administrative staff and the City Council in making recommendations for approval of special events and programs.

Redevelopment Successor Agency Oversight Board

On January 24, 2012, the Modesto City Council adopted a Resolution to authorize the City of Modesto to serve as both the Successor Agency and Successor Housing Agency to the former Modesto Redevelopment Agency. State law requires the Modesto Successor Agency to create an Oversight Board, to oversee certain fiscal management of former Agency assets other than affordable housing assets, and to exercise approval authority in redevelopment project areas where this control was exercised by the former Redevelopment Agency.

Safer Neighborhoods Initiative Advisory Board

The mission of the Safer Neighborhoods Community Advisory Board shall be to promote and assist in Community-Oriented Governance.
