Facilities

Station 5 is located in Midtown Modesto and is home to Engine 5. Engine 5's crew also staffs the OES (Cal-Office of Emergency Services) Engine Company that responds mutual aid though out California on large incidents. The Station also houses the on duty County wide Fire Investigator. Crews stationed here also manage the Department's hose inventory. Station 5 was built in 1964 and was dedicated to Durwood Taylor who died in the line of duty while battling a warehouse fire on Grand Street in 1957.
