A charter city is a city in which the governing system is defined by the city's own charter document rather than by state, provincial, regional or national laws.
A resolution, 2019-487, appointing the seven individuals recommended by the City Council to serve as members of the Charter Review Committee with the Mayor's appointee serving as chair can be found in this document.
The Mayor shall hold office for a term of four (4) years, less any time required between a November election and a February run-off election, from and after the first Tuesday following the Mayor's election and until the Mayor's successor is qualified and elected.
