Draft Maps to Review

Commission Progress

  • On January 8, 2022, the Citizens’ Districting Commission authorized the release of the draft maps for community review and input. 
  • On January 19, 2022, the Commission discussed Draft Maps and provided direction and changes to staff to be reflected in Draft Map B2.
  • On January 22, 2022, the Commission discussed Draft Maps and Draft Map B2 and provided changes to staff to be reflected in Draft Map B3. 
  • On January 26, 2022, the Commission discussed Draft Maps and decided to only move forward with Draft Map B3 to the next meeting. 
  • On February 2, 2022, the Commission held a Public Hearing to adopt a recommended Council District Map and selected Draft Map B3 to forward to Council for approval.
  • On March 8, 2022, a City Council held a Public Hearing and approved the Final Council District map (Draft Map B3).

Draft Map B3 uses major streets and neighborhoods to divide boundaries and reflects Commission’s requested changes from the January 22, 2022 Public Hearing. This map was approved by Council on March 8th, 2022, and will be implemented as Modesto’s Council District Map.
