Approved Tree Vendor Permit

Requirements of City of Modesto authorized tree vendors

If you are a private contractor requesting a permit to work on City trees, you will be required to provide the following:

  1. City of Modesto Business License
  2. Approved Vendor Application listing your International Society of Agriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist on Staff and ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor.
  3. Insurance Information in our PINS System

To obtain approval from the City, you must submit the below Permit Application prior to performing any work on a City street tree.  You will be notified of approval in writing.

    1. Insurance Requirements*

      Required Insurance for City of Modesto vendors.  You are required to upload this information into our Insurance tracking system (PINS) prior to the issuance of this permit. 

    2. Are you an Approved City of Modesto Tree Vendor?*

      In order to apply for this permit, you must have an approved application to be a vendor on file.  You must be listed as an Approved Tree Vendor and have current Insurance documents uploaded to our PINS system.
