Blight Abatement Advisory Committee
Mission
The mission of the Blight Abatement Advisory Committee shall be to promote public engagement concerning blight abatement in the community and to make recommendations to the City regarding program improvements, potential funding opportunities, and support with increasing volunteerism.
Responsibilities
This committee is focused on reducing blight in our community and making Modesto a more beautiful city. Blight includes graffiti, illegal dumping, litter, unmaintained properties, and other activities that make the City look neglected or unsightly. The Committee brings together members of the public and City staff to find solutions on blight-related issues. We are looking for City of Modesto or Stanislaus County residents who offer input, ideas, and perspectives, as well as voting on action items that advise City staff and City Council. Committee members will also assist with public outreach and education to encourage engagement from other community members. Joining the Committee also occasionally includes volunteer opportunities and attending events. Apply today to join the conversation!
Regular Meetings
This committee meets bimonthly on the third Thursday at 4:00 PM. View and subscribe to meeting calendar to view upcoming meeting dates.
Agendas & Minutes
Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval.
